I’m trying to study for my Psychology course and I need some help to understand this question.
You will prepare a brief report on www.fcsc.usc.edu website that provides information or services to older adults. The goal of this paper is to increase awareness about the resources and services that are available to seniors. Please explore www.fcsc.usc.edu website in order to answer all seven questions listed below:
1.Briefly describe the organization and website that you selected. Provide the web address for the main page.
2.Describe the “mission” and the main functions of the organization? What are the organization’s objectives?
3.Describe the information and links that are available on the website’s homepage.
4.How does the organization receive support? That is, how does it “keep its doors open?”
5.What specific services does the organization offer to its visitors?
6.Summarize two featured topics/articles on the website.
7.What features of the website did you find to be most helpful and what do you think could be improved?

Formatting Instructions:
Your paper should be organized in question-and-answer format using 12-point font, one-inch margins, and single spacing. •Single spaces should be inserted between each question, your answer to it, and the next question. (about 3-4 pages in total)
Please be sure that you are developing a good understanding of the organization, website, and services it provides to older adults; and conveying this information in clear and understandable language. To do this successfully, you will need to spend some time exploring the website and getting a good “feel” for what it is about. Imagine you had a relative or friend that you wanted to help by helping them find some resources (this is the sort of thing psychologists and social workers do all the time). How would you approach the website to get them the best information for your relative or friend?
Rubric:
Question 1 (6 points)
Summarize the general aging-related issue (or issues) that the organization/website addresses, the audience (specific population) it focuses on, and a brief history of the organization (i.e., how it came to be). Some of these facts are in the “About Us” section of a website, but you will also glean this information after spending some time on the website. Be sure not plagiarize information from the “About Us” section; instead, capture it in your own words.
Question 2 (3 points)
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Most websites have a page titled “Our Mission.” Read this and make sure you understand it, but also base your response to this question on your tour of the website as a whole. Be sure to summarize the mission in your own words. If you include any statements or quotes directly from the website, you need to put them in quotation marks and include a citation in APA style (for websites). I have posted an APA Citation guide for you on Canvas. You will only earn full points for this question if you fully capture the essence of the organization’s mission in words that are your own.
Question 3 (12 points)
Give the reader a tour of the website and the sections/subsections on it. You do not need to go into much detail about each section. Rather, think of yourself as providing the reader with a “Table of Contents” to the various sections/subsections on the website. For each section/subsection you highlight, write one sentence or bullet point to describe the information it provides.
Question 4 (4 points)
What type of organization are you researching (is it a non-profit, a governmental organization, a foundation, etc.)? How does it generate income (e.g., donors, federal funding, university funding, etc.; typically, it is some combination of these)? Most websites have a section that provides details about this. For example, the Alzheimer’s Association site has a subsection called ‘Finances’ under the section ‘About.’ This is just one example; you will find something like this on most sites.
Question 5 (10 points)
In this question you are getting specific about what the organization offers to its visitors. Write 2-3 sentences describing eachof the core services that the organization provides. Aim to describe five key services, with each description worth two points.
Question 6 (10 points, 5 points for each summary)
Pick two topics or articles highlighted on the website and write an ‘abstract’ for each. That is, write a paragraph (100-200 words) that gives your reader a “big picture” view of the article, highlighting the main points. Imagine that you just read this article and found that it contained very pertinent information for someone important to you. How would you convey the essential information in the article to that person?
Question 7 (15 points)
Approach this question as follows: (a) The two things I find to be most helpful about this website are…and explain why; (b) One thing that I found particularly interesting was… and explain why; (c) Two ways this site could be improved are… and explain why. Each thing you list (e.g., two for [a], one for [b], and two for [c]) is worth one point and each corresponding explanation is worth up to two points.
