Key Concept
Product design determines an organization’s competitiveness. A physical product and a service are both tangible and intangible results of product design. Product design is the process of incorporating innovative and useful ideas into products or services. In order to meet customer needs, competitive organizations must be innovative when releasing new items and pay attention to the elements of quality and design in their product (Conti et al., 2019). Note that product design can take a variety of forms depending on whether the company is looking to launch a new product or improve an existing one.
