The weight can be increased through slightly higher walls and a longer hull which means that the implement is elongated to allow for more surface area. A good kayak must ensure that the legs of the peIDler are comfortably secured inside on the forward side of the vessel and the entire vessel should be water proofed. The material between the body of the vessel and the peIDlers body therefore must be water proof to ensure that water does not enter into the vessel.
