I’m trying to learn for my Philosophy class and I’m stuck. Can you help?

The outline is attached in the attachment.

The OUTILNE FORM: You well need to follow EXACTLY the outline form required by the College. [See below]

Introduction: To “get attention” [see the outline form from the College] you should use one of the three methods of introduction covered in the course.

The main body will be four sections and answer these questions for those who view your video:

• What about this person’s life is heroic? Consider that some achieving people came from poor backgrounds and were able to become hugely successful. Also consider that people achieve heroic greatness by great personal sacrifices and effort.
• What is this person’s flaw? Remember a flaw is an aspect of character. Drug or alcohol abuse is not a flaw. Why someone abuses these things is a flaw.
• What is the hero’s downfall? How was his or her life when things were good? What are the details of the downfall? What was the tragic end?
• Did the hero have recognition? In public? Private? If not, you may consider the recognition of others who knew the hero.

These sections must conform to the “FORMAL” outline form as specified by the College. [IT IS ATTACHED]. Each of the four sections mentioned above is a Key Idea. Simply copy the form from the College and substitute your ideas for the words in blue. The form must be EXACTLY the way the College requires it to be and will be passed in separately. You will also need a speaking outline. See the examples in the file on the forms of speaking outlines from the College. I would use the “single sheet” method.

YOU WILL NEED TO DIRECTLY QUOTE FROM FOUR OF YOUR SOURCES IN YOUR ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY IN THE OUTLINE ITSELF. FOUR QUOTES TOTAL.

• EACH QUOTE SHOULD BEGIN WITH A SIGNAL PHRASE AND INCLUDE AN IN-TEXT CITATION. A SIGNAL PHRASE WOULD JUST STATE THE SPEAKER OR THE SOURCE:
• “In an article by….” Or Author x says, “…….” or According to…..

LASTLY YOU MUST INCLUDE A CORRECTLY FORMATTED REFERENCE PAGE AS YOU SEE IN THE SAMPLE OUTLINE FORM FROM THE COLLEGE.
