On page 433 of our textbook (Evans, 2010), the authors include a table with a list of major leadership theories. The list ranges from Theory X, Theory Y to Emotional Intelligence. Some of these theories may be more appropriate than others in supporting the effective deployment of quality improvement and organizational change. Some theories or a combination of theories may be more appropriate for different situations. As an example, deploying quality improvement and organizational change in a company that is facing complete failure may require a different set of management approaches than a successful company.

Please select three of the management theories from the table. Write a paper and compare these three selected management theories in reference to supporting quality improvement and organizational change. What are the strengths and weaknesses of each theory? Would one of the theories be better in certain change initiatives than the others? If so, why?
