Observation Assignment Paper

For this stage, you will be observing a group of three or more people having a discussion. During the discussion, make detailed notes of “competent” communication (and communicators) as well as less competent communication (and communicators).

You may do this observation exercise overtly or covertly, meaning you can either recruit people to have a discussion about a topic of your choosing or you may listen to a discussion that is already taking place. You should plan to observe the discussion for at least 20 minutes. A typed, 2-pages minimum write-up of your observations will be turned in to the instructor using MLA format.
