We may think of culture as being static and acting on individuals. However, culture, like people, develops and changes. Even as culture influences children and adolescents as they grow and develop, children and adolescents also influence culture.

To prepare:

· As you review the Learning Resources for this week, think about how culture influences the development of children and adolescents.

· Similarly, think about how children and adolescents influence the development of culture.

· Select at least one of the Learning Resources for discussion. 

Post by Day 3: 

Explain the reciprocal relationship of culture and child and adolescent culture. In your explanation, identify two ways that children or adolescents influence culture, and two ways culture influences child and or adolescent development. Support your post with at least one article from your Learning Resources or a peer-reviewed journal.

Respond to at least two colleagues in one of the following ways:

· Suggest an article that supports or refutes your colleague’s point of view.
