I don’t know how to handle this Art & Design question and need guidance.
This is the most well-known passage from the sonnet that is inscribed on the plaque that adorns the Statue of Liberty. For many generations of immigrants, Lady Liberty stands as a symbol of freedom from oppression, a symbol of hope for a better life, and a symbol for all that can be achieved where there is the promise of equal opportunity and limitless possibilities. However, what is sometimes overlooked because of the powerful emotions connected with Lady Liberty, is her architectural significance as a work of art whose structure and function are also the foundation of her symbolic significance.
