WL Discussion Post – 2 questions min of 200 words each.

1.) This story comes from a collection of short stories called The Burning Plain, which is a reference to the hot plains of rural Mexico. So, going back to our famous Elements of Fiction, it would appear that “setting” plays a key role in these stories. Discuss. ( https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid… ) 2.) I would like you to hit on what is so unique or new about this book (or was new in 1955). How does the narrative style correspond to or aid in the development of the plot, and what message does the book communicate about life in rural Mexico after the Revolution?
